Another Fast & Furious movie is coming out May 2020, and alongside it will be Fast & Furious Crossroads.
Gear up for high-stakes cinematic action in a new chapter in the Fast & Furious saga as you join the family to hunt down an international crime syndicate and pump the brakes on their plans. Then play online with your friends and create your own crew for revolutionary multiplayer action and spectacular mayhem. With all the high-speed vehicular stunts and heists, gadgets, locations, cars, and heroes from the films, Fast & Furious Crossroads casts you right at the center of the action.
The last Fast & Furious game was Fast & Furious: Showdown in 2013, which was supposed to bridge Fast Five and Fast & Furious 6.
Fast & Furious: Showdown — developed by Firebrand Games and published by Activision — unfortunately did not get rave reviews. Let’s hope this one is much better.
Fast & Furious Crossroads is being developed by Slightly Mad Studios, who have a decent track record with arcade & simulation racing games. They developed both the Need for Speed Shift games, and the simulation racer Project CARS.
You can also expect the game to be voiced by some of the main characters — with Vin Diesel, Michelle Rodriguez and Tyrese Gibson reprising their roles as Dom, Letty, and Roman. Joining the cast is Sonequa Martin-Green and Asia Kate Dillon.
No word yet if this game takes place before, during, or after Fast & Furious 9. Remember that the 10th and final movie in the Fast & Furious series is due to release in 2021, so this will likely be the last F&F game.
Along with the single-player story mode, they are adding in a multiplayer mode where you can form crews and play online.
Expect a brand new story, some new characters, pursuits, heists, and some easter eggs.
Fast & Furious Crossroads will be released sometime in May 2020 on PC, Playstation 4, and Xbox One.
