CAPCOM has released a new cinematic trailer for Resident Evil 3 —Â featuring none other than Nemesis.
If you thought Tyrant from Resident Evil 2 (2019)Â was menacing, Nemesis makes him look like child’s play.
This monster of a bioweapon is equipped with a flamethrower, laser-guided rocket launcher, and has evolved a mutation with tentacles.
Did I mention it’s highly regenerative capabilities?  Fire — the go-to solution to destroying any organic compound — has no effect on it.
The new trailer also showcases a few of the characters. Carlos Oliveira is Jill’s unofficial partner who is part of the U.B.C.S. — Umbrella Biohazard Countermeasure Service.
He and his team were sent to Raccoon City for an evacuation mission, but found out quickly that they were in over their heads. Parts of the trailer show some gameplay segments as Carlos.
You might have seen a commanding officer in quiet scenes on a subway — that guy is Mikhail Victor. He became seriously injured on the mission but still does all he can to help people escape.
Umbrella Biohazard Countermeasure Service Team
There are three other U.B.C.S. members that play lesser roles: Tyrell Patrick, Murphy Seeker, and Nicholai Ginovaef.
- Tyrell Patrick is a behind-the-scenes guy. He specializes in hacking and disabling security.
- Murphy Seeker is a former U.S. Marine and expert sniper. Unfortunately, like Mikhail — he gets injured. I envision him having a valiant end.
- Nicholai Ginovaef is the antagonist seen in the trailer.  This guy is cold, and his focus on the mission and survival doesn’t allow him much room to care for others.
There are additional characters that round out this Resident Evil 3 cast, including one of the sole survivors of the Mansion Incident: Brad Vickers.
Resident Evil 3 will be available on April 3rd, 2020, on PS4, Xbox One, and PC (Steam).
It also comes with an online game Resident Evil Resistance. Pre-ordering will get you the Resident Evil 3 Classic Jill and Carlos Costume Pack.
